Searching for Coffee and Messes in the Car

If you want to become a crazy person then you should definitely go on a long road trip with two little ones! I'm telling ya, it was nuts! Thankfully we were smart enough to bring something for Josephine to watch movies on but it was still a rough ride. Eloise is traumatized and refuses to sit in her car seat since she never knows if she'll be in it for 5hrs or 5min. But it was still good to see family. I'm so glad we went since I found out we aren't having another family reunion for three whole years from now! Josephine will be 5! WHOA! Can't think that far into the future :)



My mom's side of the family is crazy and fun! We always play tons of games outside as well as card games and playing in the pool and going down the spring fed water slide. This year it rain. That meant no out door activities. That meant cooped up children. Uh oh. There were a few incidents but luckily no one was permanently injured.
On the road up and back we were always on the look out for coffee shops. We are such coffee snobs that any ole' coffee shop won't do. No starbucks for these snobs :) We found some good places and some not so good places along the way. If ever in Austin hit up a place off of UT campus called JPs Java, excellent coffee! And we found a good place in Manhattan, KS that we will visit next time we're in the neighborhood.
So glad life has slowed back down, at least for the time being. Now to get caught up on laundry and house cleaning!
