More about Ellie's birth story

More good news! Part of the reason we first decided to look into homebirth was because I am not covered under any insurance and knew it would be incredibly expensive to have a baby. Well obviously I ended up having Ellie at a hospital. We have been receiving bills for the last month or so but just not able to pay them so Douglas and I went to the hospital to figure out a payment plan. I was praying for favor, praying they would allow us to pay slowly, I mean really slowly. I had been a little worried about paying our hospital bill but I had resolved not to worry about it and that God would take care of us.
When we got into the office she looked at our bill (around $11000) and said that there was only really one deal she could offer us. She said that if we could pay all at once then she could give us a discount. All we would have to pay is just shy of $2000! WOW! I couldn't believe it. I had to ask again if I was hearing it correctly. Haha, God is so good! Well we got home and as soon as I got into our house I heard the phone ring and I saw that it was the hospital. I was thinking "oh no, they're going to tell us that they miscalculated and that we owe more". Sure enough is was the same lady we had just seen and she told us that she had miscalculated our total. She had forgotten to include another discount!
AMAZING! God is so good! He is my provider! Ellie is bought and paid for in more than one sense of the word!
