Road Trip!

Our road trip was seriously short but needed and enjoyed. We went to San Antonio for half a day for business (our automatic coffee grinder is down and needs fixing) and visited a local coffee shop, a gelato place that had some really interesting flavors such as maple and bacon (real bacon bits) and went to a small museum with a dinosaur exhibit. Before leaving we spotted a Central Market and just had to go in. I felt like a kid in a candy store!
I have to admit, sometimes I get just a bit jealous of my friends that get to go on exotic vacations over seas. I'm not sure if I'll ever go but I plan to save some $$ to go visit my sister in South Africa after she moves there. That means saving now! But as far as exotic vacations and being jealous and all that it did occur to me that pretty much all my friends that are doing that are either not married or have no kids. And even though sometimes I get frustrated, grumpy or down right crazy with my kids I have to admit it... they are better than an exotic vacation! I absolutely love seeing my girls growing up right in front of my eyes. I love wondering what kind of people they will be and grow into, what they will like, will they love reading, photography, math, science? I just love love love seeing my oldest daughter playing and seeing her imagination grow! So those exotic trips will just have to wait for later. For now it's going to the zoo and a fancy grocery store for me!
